One step at a time, we will expose the truth. The latest is that the U.S. has a shortage of welders. If you know a welder or anyone whose livelihood depends on the construction industry, this one is for you.

My Dad is Always sending me emails. Yesterday I got one that relates almost directly back to my post Move Yourself. He sent me an email containing a video from ABC News which explains how Chinese companies and Chinese workers are getting the contracts to re-build major bridges. The Tony Anziano of the California Department of Transportation explains that there is a shortage of welders. Not just in California, but ALL over the country.

I call bullshit!

When I lived in California, I worked for a company called Link Staffing. Link Staffing specialized in finding jobs for Construction workers and you know what, welders were not workers that we had trouble finding. In fact, they were some of the easiest, along with mason workers, general labor and drivers. And these are just the people in California who can work legally.

Here’s the thing too, construction workers, just by the nature of their jobs- will travel.  So claiming that American welders do not exist anywhere throughout the United States is a bold-faced lie if I ever saw one.

Am I surprised? No. Not at all actually, thankfully I was never raised to believe that the government has my best interests at heart. Quite the contrary.

To prove I am correct about the surplus of welders: Please, if you don’t share any other posts, share this one. Share it with everyone you know and if you are a welder, PLEASE leave a comment. Tell me anything, from how many years experience you have, to how the need for an American welder is squandered. I would love to read your personal story and have it here as concrete evidence of the lies and deceit.

Chances are we all know someone in the construction industry, and even if you do it for that one person; pass it on. Tell your story. Leave a comment. The only way I can see to put an end to this is by exposing the lies and I cannot do it without your help. If everyone who reads this passes it on, surely the comments from unemployed or underemployed welders will begin to flourish on this post.
